Design Inspiration

Welcome Home

Ron DiMauro AIA

Raised ranch homes tend to have a standard look which pose challenges when attempting to change their appearances. First, we wanted more living space in this home to be able to get you a 4-bedroom home, so we removed the internal garage and designed you a detached structure (to be available to be built for you in the future). Next, we set the stairs back from the entry to create a more relaxing and welcoming feeling when entering your new home.

Making our way to the second level we gutted and raised the ceilings 8 inches (raised ranches typically have low ceilings).  It was worth the extra expense because now you have wonderful sized rooms with lots of sunlight.

We have designed you a brand-new custom kitchen and a full walk-in pantry.  The only addition to this home is an eating area adjacent to the kitchen.  Now you can have a beautiful eating area wrapped in extra-large double hung windows for wonderful sunlight.  Continuing from your kitchen you have an open family room for entertaining and relaxing. Off the family room we have created for you an elegant primary bedroom suite complete with your own walk-in closet as well as a stylized primary bathroom.  We even located the washer dryer on this floor so you can live on only one floor if you choose to. On the back, we removed the old deck you will have a large summer deck with an Arbor for outdoor Alfresco dining, relaxing seating, and private sunbathing since it is on the second floor.

How did we change the typical look of a raised ranch?  We flipped the roof and added a Gambrel (barn like roof) to the front façade. We took advantage of the second-floor overhang and added bracket underneath for a sturdier look, changed all windows to brand new double hung 6/1 windows, added wooden shutters to the windows and we capped it off with a Signature DiMauro Cupola to give the home some balance. This new façade and extra framing allowed us to have extra living space on the third floor. This unique unfinished sanctuary can be finished any way you want:  a yoga room, gym, recreation room, home office or even a bunk room for all the grandkids. The options are endless and this space ads approx. 400 square feet of potential living space. With the third floor, you could end up with a 2,681 s.f 4-bedroom three bath home.

Thank you for your continued support and love of our homes.  We love creating elegant and livable homes and we thank you for enjoying our style and our passion. Now you can have a DiMauro Home completed with zero headaches to enjoy with your family.
